Last weekend the Tucson Police Department arrested 15 people at a DUI checkpoint near the University of Arizona, according to the Arizona Daily Star. A total of 56 drivers were stopped and evaluated for signs of intoxication and a total of 881 vehicles passed through the checkpoint, which ran from 9 Saturday night to 3:30 Sunday morning near East Sixth Street between North Fourth and North Euclid Avenues. The Arizona wrongful death claims the deputy unreasonably shot an unarmed man.
