Employees investigated in possible Arizona wrongful death case

Sixteen prison employees have been disciplined as part of an ongoing investigation into the death of an inmate which could result in an Arizona wrongful death case, according to The Arizona Republic.
The death of the prison inmate occurred four months ago when a female inmate was left in an outdoor cell for hours in 107 degree heat. She suffered blistering on her body and had a core body temperature of 108 degrees. The 48-year-old inmate died after suffering heat-related injuries, which could lead to an Arizona wrongful death case.
A criminal investigation into the death which could lead to the Arizona wrongful death case has yet to begin.
