Law enforcement warns the public about driving hazards, especially on holiday weekends. Unfortunately, one off-duty officer experienced the need for such warnings when he was involved in a Phoenix auto accident during Memorial Day weekend.

According to the Arizona Republic, an off-duty police officer was seriously injured when a Jeep Cherokee crossed the median on Happy Valley Road, crashing into the F-150 pickup driven by the officer and carrying the 27-year-old female who died in the Phoenix auto accident.
