Man killed in Phoenix auto accident

admin April 29th, 2010

Sometimes it is difficult to merge into the other lane when you see a driver pulled over on the shoulder of the road, but this Phoenix auto accident shows just how important that rule is.

According to KPHO, a man who had pulled over on the shoulder of U.S. 60 near Alma School Road to handle a flat tire died when he was thrown into Phoenix traffic and run over.

Currently the law requires drivers to move into another lane or at least slow down for emergency vehicles. However, a new bill seeks to make Arizona drivers do the same for drivers who are distressed, anyone with emergency flashers, and tow trucks, and this Phoenix auto accident demonstrates the need for that law.
